QUEENS AND PRINCESSES

QUEENS AND PRINCESSES

A woman is a wonderful wonder to the world!

If you wonder why I posit this truth, you will find wonderous answers, both positive and negative. But don’t worry, a woman is just another human. A special crafted and created being, easy to love but difficult to understand; that’s a woman. Nonetheless, there’s more to a woman than your naked eyes can see, even if she’s naked.

As above, so below, and beyond. The stories are true, but the fictions are false. History will never forget, neither will time ever stop, for the things women have done and undone are innumerable. The same woman that care also kills, for she loves and hates.

Societal values are the philosophies that guide our shared behavior and interactions. They outline what we consider right or wrong, acceptable or unacceptable, in innumerable facets of life. When it comes to gender roles, particularly the roles of women, society has advanced meaningfully over the years. While there is still room for development, the expected roles of women today reflect a broader and more all-encompassing understanding of their contributions and potential. Nonetheless, these are the good societal values women all over the world desire and deserve. They are thus:

  • Equality and Respect: A society that values equality and respect for all individuals, regardless of gender, creates a foundation for healthy and harmonious relationships. Women should be treated as equals to men, with the same opportunities and rights in education, employment, and all other areas of life.
  • Empowerment: Empowerment means giving women the freedom and support to pursue their passions, careers, and interests without unnecessary obstacles. It involves providing access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities that allow women to thrive and contribute to society.
  • Inclusion and Diversity: A diverse and inclusive society values the different perspectives and experiences that women bring to the table. By embracing diversity, societies can foster innovation and growth in various sectors, from business to politics.
  • Support for Work-Life Balance: Societies should support women in achieving a healthy work-life balance. This includes creating policies that allow for flexible work hours, parental leave, and affordable childcare options. Such support can enable women to excel both professionally and personally.

Advocacy Against Gender-Based Violence: A society that actively opposes gender-based violence and harassment fosters a safer environment for women. Promoting awareness and providing resources for victims is essential in creating a society where all individuals can live without fear.

“Non mihi, non tibi, sed nobis – Not for me, not for you, but for us.” Good societal values endorse equality, respect, and empowerment for women, allowing them to bloom and contribute expressively to society. As we continue to advance, it is imperative to challenge stereotypes and biases, and to create an environment where women can fully realize their potential. By embracing these values and identifying the varied roles that women can play, we can build a more equitable and inclusive society for all. Nevertheless, the needs and wants of women are infinite; they’re insatiable. On the other hand, there are societal expectations of women. They are thus:

Leadership and Decision-Making: Women are increasingly taking on leadership roles in various sectors, including politics, business, and education. Their perspectives and experiences bring valuable insights and contribute to better decision-making and governance.

Community Engagement: Women often play a central role in community engagement and development. Whether through volunteering, advocacy, or local initiatives, their efforts can have a significant impact on the well-being of their communities.

Family and Household Roles: While societal expectations are changing, women are still often seen as the primary caretakers of their families. Balancing work and family responsibilities can be challenging, but with the right support, women can excel in both areas.

Mentorship and Education: As role models and mentors, women have the opportunity to inspire the next generation. By sharing their experiences and knowledge, they can help young women achieve their goals and navigate the challenges they may face.

Cultural and Artistic Contributions: Women have long been influential in the cultural and artistic spheres. Their contributions enrich our society by offering unique perspectives on the human experience through literature, music, art, and other forms of expression.

“Ut titanis, ita cum gigantibus – As you do to one, so do to others.” Women play a vital role in society, contributing significantly to its progress and development. Over the years, women's contributions in various fields such as politics, economics, education, healthcare, and social reform have become increasingly recognized. Here are some elucidations why women are vital to the success and well-being of any society: They are thus:

  • Economic Development: Women's participation in the workforce contributes to economic growth and stability. By taking on a range of roles in businesses, industries, and entrepreneurship, women bring fresh perspectives, talents, and skills that drive innovation and productivity.
  • Education: Educating women has a ripple effect on society. When women are educated, they are more likely to educate their children and empower them to pursue opportunities. This cycle of education helps lift families and communities out of poverty and promotes sustainable development.
  • Healthcare and Well-being: Women play a crucial role in promoting health and well-being within families and communities. As caregivers, mothers, and healthcare professionals, women are often the primary advocates for the health of their families. Their contributions to healthcare research and practice lead to better health outcomes for all.
  • Social and Cultural Influence: Women often serve as agents of change in society by advocating for justice, equality, and inclusivity. Their participation in social and cultural movements helps create a more equitable and harmonious society.
  • Political Representation: When women are represented in political leadership roles, policies tend to be more inclusive and reflective of the broader population's needs. Women's perspectives bring fresh insights and priorities that lead to more comprehensive decision-making.
  • Innovation and Creativity: Women bring unique perspectives and creative solutions to challenges across industries. Their contributions to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields are particularly noteworthy, as they drive advancements and inspire future generations.
  • Empowerment and Role Models: Women who achieve success in their careers and personal lives serve as role models for younger generations. Their achievements inspire others to pursue their goals and challenge societal norms.
  • Family and Community Support: Women play an essential role in supporting families and communities. Their dedication to nurturing and caring for loved ones strengthens social bonds and fosters a sense of community.

While progress has been made, there is still work to be done to achieve gender equality and fully harness women's potential. Addressing issues such as the gender pay gap, access to education and healthcare, and equal representation in leadership roles will be key to creating a society where women can thrive and contribute to their fullest potential. Consequently, women's involvement in society is crucial for its overall success and progress. Recognizing and valuing their contributions across all fields will lead to a stronger, more equitable, and sustainable future for everyone.

Dearly Beloved, as you know, to whom much is given, much is equally expected. The appearance of what it is must be it, if it must be considered true. Every queen has a kingdom where she serves or a queendom where she reigns. Loyalty to the throne is essential, whether a king lives there or not. Success without succession sucks, for we must always seek for a greater future generation. This is applicable to every home in every society. Mothers are queens and their daughters are princesses. Like it or not, every family is a special kingdom on its own. How a mother manages her home is important, for a daughter reflects her mother, in appearance, character or belief. This being the case, a good or bad daughter is the reflection of a good or bad mother. Mothers in the society must teach their daughters, positive values expected of women in the society, so that they can be respected. The population of females in prostitution rises exponentially due to vanity, greed, and lack home training. If women must fight for their rights, they must fight for it the right way. The contemporary society needs dignity and diligence. Men, respect women everywhere in the world if they act respectfully!
