THE WORLD IS A MARKET
You are not the first and you won’t be the last, you only come and go like all before you, so shall it be for all that comes after you. The world is a market, and you are either here to buy or sell. Time is the gatekeeper. Everyone comes in their own time, and leaves in their own time. We are all from different destinations, selling different commodities.
Survival, sustenance, and success. What else are we doing here? When we think that we have time, is when we don’t. Likewise, when we think we don’t have time, we think wrong. We don’t arrive at the same time, and we don’t depart at the same time. Everyone and everything have its time. We are neither early nor late, we here at our time. Then, what are you doing with your time here? What are you selling or buying?
Reminisce and reason, from the past to the present, your losses and your gains. The future belongs to only those who will be there. Currently, we’re living in the future of the people of the past. Soon, our present will be past, and we shall all pass with it. Meanwhile, as many sell and buy, many are stealing. At the same time, while many are counting profits, many are chasing losses. Right through the gates of time, many are struggling to survive, many are suffering to sustain, and many are sacrificing to succeed.
“Suae quisque fortune fabe – Each man is the maker of his future”. Remember the popular idiom “As you make your bed, so you shall lie on it”. Of course, we all know that popular idiom, but not many understand it. You’re your maker here on earth. After God is you, that’s why we were made in God’s image; to think and create like our Almighty Maker. Beloved, you must believe in yourself. Yes, there’s always an external force, but you’re solely responsible for your success and failure. The world doesn’t care about who wins and who loses, that headache is for humans alone. In this market, there are sellers, buyers, thieves, beggars, mad people, sick people, and wanderers; which one are you?
You are here now. What are you selling or buying? Are you selling truths, lies, love, hate, goodness, wickedness, failure, success, criticisms, compliments, evil, kindness, disgrace, and grace; which ones are you buying? Can you afford them? Are you a happy trader? Nonetheless, we trade on goods and services such as: foods, water, drugs, bodies, souls, fame, and power. Every customer has a choice. All you need is in the market; you only need to seek, and you shall find. All that you buy depends on all you can afford. If you must beg, you must be humble. If you want to steal, beware of being caught, for you may be burnt. Consequently, if you are not focused, you may end up buying what you didn’t order; for there’re crooks in every corner. They see you, but you don’t see them.
Anything can happen anytime in the market. Beware of bystanders, for there are criminals within. Bags and baggage are at owner’s risk. In life, it is wise to always mind your business. Always focus on yours, and let others focus on theirs. You’re on your own in this market, anything you miss is your mistake. Nobody owes you anything, and you owe nobody nothing, as long as you pay your debts. Nevertheless, never leave your balances behind, for there’re beggars on the road who needs them. Remember to check and cross-check, for all are not what they seem. Your sorrowful story will only fetch you sorry. Be careful, if it’s not real, don’t deal. There are ghosts in every market in the world. The market is a free space for all, everyone is allowed, and nothing is disallowed.
Successes and setbacks. Life’s journey is filled with a mix of joy and challenges. Don’t forget, prosperity isn’t just about money; it’s about feeling rich in all aspects of life. Beloved, reflect on what makes you feel truly abundant and always seek those experiences. All those experiences shape your unique story and unravel new developments. A seller must restock to be able to continue selling. Train your mind to always be ready to learn, relearn, and unlearn; for that which stops growing must begin to rot. Growth has no end and development has no deadline. All happens in your time.
“Quid quid agas, prudenter agas et respice finis – Whatever you do, do consciously and look to the end”. At the end of the day, everyone goes home with his/her profits or losses. The market is never empty; it is never a matter of who came early or who left late. Whenever a trader arrives, that trader starts trading. Whenever a buyer likes, he/she goes to the market for purchases. Everyone has different purpose and timing. What you don’t sell today, you may sell tomorrow. What you don’t buy today, you may buy tomorrow. Tomorrow is endless, and so are your chances at success. If you fall, rise! If you’re not doing it well, ask those who know, how to do it well. If you’re doing well, seek to do better. If you’re an apprentice, be loyal to your master, for you shall be master one day. If you’re a master, be tolerant with your apprentice, for he/she shall be master one day. The market is full of miracles, anybody can sell/buy anything at any time. Patience!
Dearly Beloved, always mind your business. It’s alright to count your gains, that’s you being grateful. But never chase your losses, for what is gone is gone. Amidst a bad situation, always look to the brighter side, for sorrows are never solutions. Work more and talk less, for the walls have ears. If you take a loan, remember to pay back on time.
